Passive lighting and ventilation at Rangeen Mahal.

The Rangeen Mahal is said to have been built for a Turkish wife of the Sultan. The Queen and her women staff were the main residents.  The palace was rebuilt during the Barid Shahi period. This palace stands out for its wall decorations with mother- of - pearl and colored tiles arranged in jet-black stone. Floral Paintings, Calligraphy Texts. Stone carvings, and Stucco art are other highlights of the structure.

2. Vaulted ceilings

There were vaulted ceilings that let in more light and better ventilation.

The increased height of vaulted ceilings allows for skylights, maximizing the entry of natural light into the room. This creates a brighter and more inviting environment. Additionally, vaulted ceilings can enhance natural ventilation, as they can provide more space for hot air to rise and circulate, which can enhance natural ventilation. This can be particularly effective if there are windows or vents at the higher points of the vaulted ceiling to allow hot air to escape and draw in cooler air from outside.
